About this Guide

Environmental Justice Movement

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January's recommended readings highlight the environmental justice movement in America and around the globe.

Dr. King’s legacy of civil rights and equality continues to resonate in the movement's goal to achieve "the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race, color, national origin, or income with respect to the development, implementation, and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations, and policies" (EPA).
